History
Our 42-year history and experience in High Technology programs has produced over 400 successfully designed products. Founded in 1968, Huck Studer Design was one of the few medical and packaging firms in the US. Over the years the firm developed a reputation for solving difficult problems and having a "family" atmosphere. The majority of our projects are based upon continued business relationships and ethical referrals. Over the years HS Design has worked with both Fortune 100 firms as well as immerging ventures developing a variety of surgical tools, diagnostic instruments, and consumer health care products. These products have given our company a great deal of experience in understanding the proprietary and ethical issues surrounding medical product design.
This innovative culture is still alive and well. Today HSD offers the same historic "HSD" client service that serves some of the same Fortune 100 clients 40 years ago. Our talented staff of designers, engineers and researchers works in a team environment to solve our client's most challenging problems. We bring together the end users' needs and the suppliers' needs to provide products that exceed customer expectations. We create products that stimulate the market and create a better customer experience.
Over the years, we have expanded our services to include development in consumer, commercial, and defense products. While every program is unique, we developed a process to increase speed to market while maintaining our client’s need for innovation and brand recognition. We focus our attention to the individual needs of our clients and tailor our process to assist them through development.
HS Design does not have a formal sales force. The partners Tor Alden and John Studer continue to personally respond to inquiries and remain active in the design and project management process.
