RESEARCH & IMMERSION

Although we have in-depth experience in several fields, we research the specific functional and emotional needs of the user. We are also interested in the specific context in which the product will be used.

Several tools are used depending on the scope of research. Observation and immersion helps us analyze both our client's core competencies and the end users' expectations and unfulfilled needs. We tailor our research protocol to fit our client's needs and to unveil pertinent insights from the user.

CONCEPT IDEATION

Once we have a good understanding of the goal of the client, we begin preliminary human factors, user interface, and concept development. Rapid sketching and modeling of multiple design alternatives are preformed to evaluate aesthetic and ergonomic direction. Our award-winning designers, in search of the most appropriate solutions, keep fluid creativity and innovation alive.

MECHANICAL DEVELOPMENT

Although we have already integrated CAD software tools in the development process, this phase is where we begin the generation of detailed parts and the database used for tooling and manufacturing. Typically, we issue a final control database for use in the prototype and validation phase.

Our unique combination of 3D software, experience and expertise allows our design engineers to generate amazing results. We use industry standard 3D solid modeling tools that include Solidworks and ProE Wildfire.

TESTING AND VALIDATION

We know it will work based on our desire to prototype and test parts throughout our process. This phase helps generate models for testing and validation. This step helps avoid costly changes in manufacturing. Depending on the scope, the prototypes may evaluate aesthetics, mechanical solutions, durability and ease of use. This phase verifies all manufacturing goals are met.

MANUFACTURING IMPLEMENTATION

In the implementation phase, we review pre-production parts to final specification requirements through a first article review process. Based on our years of experience, we have access to multiple manufacturing resources and can leverage this expertise specifically for our clients.

For final quality assurance, it is typically necessary to update the database per specific manufacturing requirements. Once updated, the final database is transferred to manufacturing or directly to the client.
